For the past few years, Long Island has been known for breeding some of the world's finest musicians. Talented acts such as Taking Back Sunday, Brand New, The Movielife and Glassjaw have shown the world that Long Island can also create well-known rock acts. From the downfall of many past bands, the members of Perfect Endings have gathered up one more time to try and create an impact on the Long Island scene. Forming in the Fall of 2002', Perfect Endings have played a large number of local shows, self-released a few EP's, have been featured on THIS.IS.NOT.EMO and have also created a nice sized following for themselves. After playing as a four piece rock act, the members of the band decided it was time to add a new member to the band. They brought in their merch guy and good friend Adam (Age) to play on the low end and give their live show a more crowd oriented feel. After realizing recording in Justin’s basement wasn’t going to cut it anymore the band decided it was time to finally push themselves. They had spent only a few minutes deciding which studio they would like to record in. Without a doubt in these young boys’ minds, they chose Portrait Studios in Lincoln Park, NJ, home of the greatest producer who ever lived, Chris Badami (The Early November, The Starting Line, Hidden in Plain View, Roses are Red, Socratic, I Can Make A Mess Like Nobody’s Business, Midtown, Fenix TX, etc). They entered the studio in August of 2004 and had no idea that their experience there was going to last forever. The band found Chris’ soft spots and had turned him into one the guys. After making several trips back and forth to New Jersey, the band had finally put the finishing touches on their four song EP, “If These Walls Could Talk.” These boys have had a music dream since they can all remember and they feel this is just the beginning. After releasing a song or two on purevolume, and myspace, the band has been receiving an overwhelming amount of feedback about not only coming to other US states, but to other countries as well. They were soon contacted by the Long Island clothing company, RISE and sponsored right away as well as having a meeting scheduled with Richard from Drive-Thru Records. They have also been put on the AbsolutePunk.Net New York show at the end of November as well as the Drive Thru Records Sounds of Change New York show at The Downtown the following day opening for the likes of An Angle, Socratic, Steel Train and Hellogoodbye. The five guys that compose this band all come from different musical backgrounds with different influences as well. However, they are all able to bring together the elements of each into what we like to call Perfect Endings, and it is obvious on this EP. “If These Walls Could Talk” opens up with a hard-hitting song titled “Life Under Starboard” that draws you in immediately and closes with an acoustic-piano based ballad, “Neverland,” leaving the listener begging for more. The boys of PE are all best friends with each other and can be seen around long island at shows and pretty much anywhere promoting their asses off and not to mention they all live within an average distance of five minutes from each other (Sal and Nick are brothers so they live in the same house). Justin, Sal, Adam, Nick, and Adam are ready to drop everything in a heartbeat and take on all the challenges the world will throw at their band. They recently acquired a van and are planning on filling fans requests of playing in their town. Perfect Endings are a bunch fun, loving high school (Nick) and college kids who have no other future interests besides music. Perfect Endings has shared the stage with such bands as Guilt like Gravity, HelloGoodbye, The Junior Varsity, Stars Hide Fire, Socratic, The Sleeping, The Chemistry, An Angle, Steel Train, Houston Calls, The Escape Engine, Doozer, Little Yellow Box, The Modern Day Saint & many more.
